New Big Matches Planned For Battleground !!!!!

WWE is moving quickly towards the WWE Draft and brand split, and with the anticipation and hype surrounding it, a lot of people are neglecting to realize the great card that is developing for WWE Battleground next month.
So far, we know the card will have the “final” match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn’s rivalry to settle the score once and for all, and we know that Dean Ambrose will defend the WWE Championship against both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in a triple threat match.
Owens vs. Zayn is going to be a fantastic match, mostly because the two men have been feuding in NXT and WWE ever since Owens debuted a little over about a year and a half ago. The triple threat match between Ambrose, Reigns, and Rollins has been one of the most anticipated matches in WWE history and is something the WWE Universe has to see before the brand split makes it near impossible to happen.
Those two matches already make Battleground a great show, but WWE will add more matches to the card well before the WWE Draft. According to a recent report from RingSideNews.com, there are at least five more rumored matches being planned for Battleground that WWE has yet to announce. Thanks to the report, we have a much better idea of what WWE officials will have for us at Battleground in a few weeks.
Many of these are obvious if you consistently watch WWE programming. For example, it is clear that The New Day will be defending the WWE World Tag Team Championship against The Wyatt Family. The two teams have very different forms of charisma, and their feud has been extremely interesting to watch. At Battleground, two of WWE’s most unique teams will collide to see what the future holds for WWE’s tag team division going into the brand split.
Elsewhere, the rematch of a lifetime will most likely be taking place between John Cena and AJ Styles. This time, there will be some sort of stipulation added to the match to give the feud an even bigger boost, but there is no information on what that stipulation will be at this time. Cena vs. Styles is probably bound for SummerSlam too, so Battleground is probably not the end.
The United States Championship will be defended by Rusev against Titus O’Neil in a feud that has begun to heat up. Titus has become more aggressive, and it’s made for a better dynamic between the two WWE Superstars. The hope is that the feud can bring back some prestige to the U.S. title before the WWE Draft because mid-card titles are going to become important after WWE’s brand split.
In the Women’s division, it is unclear if WWE is planning to have the current WWE Women’s Champion, Charlotte, defend her title against “The Boss” Sasha Banks at Battleground. The expectation is that feud will be held off until SummerSlam, but WWE will have something planned for Banks, and she’ll most definitely be wrestling at Battleground.
The final rumored match from the report is Becky Lynch vs. Natalya. If WWE decides to book their first match at Battleground, Lynch vs, Natalya could potentially get a lot more eyes from the WWE Universe on the women’s division. The Lass Kicker vs. The Queen of Hearts has the potential to be a great match that may steal the show if given enough time by WWE officials.
Ultimately, Battleground is bound to be a great PPV that will serve as WWE’s final chapter of the “Old Era” before the roster is split up between Raw and SmackDown and everything changes. The card looks excellent on paper, and there are many matches that will have the WWE Universe talking as the “New Era” of WWE takes off the next night.
