What's Next For Reigns After PayBack !!!!!!

With Sunday’s WWE Payback leaving Roman Reigns seriously injured at the hands of Braun Strowman, will he retreat from television for the foreseeable future? Fans were anxiously waiting to see if Strowman, also affectionately known as the Monster Among Men, would beat Reigns on Payback. For the vast majority of the match, Braun Strowman appeared to totally dominate Roman Reigns before finally beating him in the end.
However, fans are only too aware that WWE Payback was not entirely what it may have been due to two things. One, Roman Reigns was already recovering from an injury going into Sunday’s match with Braun Strowman. And two, Reigns has been grieving the tragic loss of his older brother Rosey, who died unexpectedly, as the Inquisitr reported. It took Roman Reigns a little while to publicly discuss the death of his brother, but when he did finally open up, he spoke about their strong bond and the support he always had from Rosey.
“He was my number one fan. He never missed a match, he never missed anything I did in the ring, he always had great advice for me and always reached out to talk. With Roman Reigns recovering from an injury and still dealing with the death of his brother, WWE Payback would surely have been difficult for him, which would have made it virtually impossible for him to have beat Braun Strowman. Bleacher Report describes how the fight between Reigns and Strowman continued backstage before the show was taken off the air. The outlet also notes that plenty of WWE fans thought that the match should have been contested under extreme rules.
In fact, many WWE fans feel that Extreme Rules, which is scheduled to air in June, may be the best stage for Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman to continue their feud. Despite the fact that fans were shouting “You deserve it!” as Reigns was spitting up blood after being attacked by Strowman on Payback, on the whole, fans were decidedly less angry with him than they were previously, as Heavy report. So despite Roman Reigns defeating the now-retired Undertaker at WrestleMania, WWE fans may feel much less animosity towards him now, which could possibly be because he has been off television recently.

It is widely assumed that Roman Reigns will take another break from television now. On Raw, Kurt Angle let viewers know that Reigns had again injured his ribs on Payback with Braun Strowman and also had various other internal injuries. While Strowman himself was also injured, having allegedly torn his rotator cuff, Angle let it be known that Reigns had taken the worst of it to explain away what may be an extended absence from Roman.

Reigns’ last injury from Strowman resulted in a break from the WWE for several weeks, and based on Kurt Angle’s comments, Roman Reigns may be off television again for the foreseeable future. There are numerous reasons why the WWE may want to allow Roman Reigns to take another break and put things on hold for a bit. Probably one of the biggest rumored reasons is that the WWE wants Roman Reigns to battle Brock Lesnar as part of WrestleMania 34 in 2018, but the WWE would need to stall in order for this to happen.
With Braun Strowman most likely set to battle Brock Lesnar for July’s Great Balls of Fire, would the WWE see to it that Roman Reigns makes an appearance here after being off television now for awhile?
What do you think the WWE have planned for Roman Reigns, and do you think he will be away from television and wrestling for awhile now?
