Huge Raw Superstar Will Take Time Off Soon !!!

It is nearing the end of the year and there is just one pay-per-view (PPV) left for WWE in Roadblock: End of the Line, but this is when a lot of things are cleaned up and finished. Some storylines are ending and grudges are taken care of, and there is a lot to deal with on Monday Night Raw right now. That is why a number of fans are confused as to why General Manager Mick Foley is taking time off of WWE television right when there are a number of things going on.
Pro Wrestling Sheet has confirmed that Foley is going to be off of WWE television for a while even though he is right in the middle of a rather interesting storyline with Sami Zayn. This is a storyline that has been going on for more than a month now, and it has really picked up a lot of steam.
Well, Foley isn’t going to be a part of this or any storyline at all for a few weeks going forward, but there’s a very good reason for it.
While some believe that WWE has suspended Foley for some reason or even fired him, the company insists that isn’t the case at all. Mick Foley isn’t in trouble whatsoever, but just wants to enjoy the Christmas season with his friends and family.
So, as a WWE representative told Pro Wrestling Sheet, that’s exactly what the organization is allowing him to do.
“Mick is taking time off to spend the holidays with his family and do his volunteer work as Santa. He has not been released or fired.”
With Mick Foley on the show as General Manager of Monday Night Raw, it has allowed Commissioner Stephanie McMahon to take more of a backstage role. She doesn’t have to appear on television as much for WWE and allows Mick to kind of take control of things.
Now, some may say that the last two weeks of the year likely won’t be a big deal as the shows can survive without either of the two authority figures. Yes, Monday Night Raw can survive without them, but taking Foley off of TV while the storyline with Sami Zayn is red hot is a strange move by WWE.
After Sami Zayn failed to win his match against The Miz at Survivor Series and bring the Intercontinental Title to Raw, he’s been under the gun. Mick Foley had to put Zayn in a match against Braun Strowman due to orders from Stephanie McMahon who said that Zayn needed to face repercussions for his failure.
Zayn was absolutely decimated by the giant and has vowed to get his revenge for weeks now, but Foley wouldn’t give him another match. This week on Monday Night Raw, Zayn even demanded a trade, which Foley said he would grant him, but later rescinded that trade proposal.
Finally, Foley gave into Zayn and granted him his match with Braun Strowman, but it isn’t just as simple as a regular bout. As the official preview states, Sami Zayn has to prove to Foley that this match wasn’t a mistake and he must survive at least 10 minutes against Strowman at Roadblock.
If Zayn doesn’t win the match or last 10 minutes, Foley hasn’t said what will happen, but it likely won’t be good.
Roadblock: End of the Line could bring about an appearance of Mick Foley in a backstage segment or maybe even during the match between Sami Zayn and Braun Strowman. If Foley does show his face tonight at the PPV, it will likely be the last time he is seen for anything with WWE this year. He is still the General Manager of Monday Night Raw and has not been fired or suspended. All Foley wants to do is spend the holidays with his family so the company is granting that.
