WWE Monday Night Raw Results
For someone with a part-time WWE schedule, Brock Lesnar has been almost a regular on WWE programming recently. After being attacked by Randy Orton on Monday Night Raw two weeks ago, Lesnar returned the favor the following night on SmackDown Live. Lesnar returned to Raw this week with Paul Heyman, just six days before he faces The Viper at WWE SummerSlam 2016. As Lesnar and Heyman attempt to address the WWE Universe, they are interrupted by a very persistent Heath Slater.
WWE Women’s Champion Sasha Banks defeated Dana Brooke last week to guarantee that former champ Charlotte will be on her own at SummerSlam. This week, after Ric Flair’s daughter expressed her disappointment in Dana Brooke and defeated Alicia Fox, she invited The Boss to the ring. Less than a week before their epic rematch at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, what kind of plan did Charlotte unveil on Sasha?

Roman Reigns interrupted the wedding celebration of United States Champion Rusev and wife Lana last week, and was rewarded by Mick Foley booking Reigns vs. Rusev for the U.S. title at SummerSlam. But perhaps the biggest SummerSlam match for the Raw brand — if not the biggest match of the entire card — will be Seth Rollins vs. Finn Bálor to crown the first-ever WWE Universal Champion. All four men were at Monday Night Raw with Sunday’s big event on their mind.
WWE Monday Night Raw results
The following includes the results of all the matches and segments from WWE Raw on August 15. This episode of WWE Raw aired live from the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. Raw has won the “ratings war” every week since both shows have been working with exclusive rosters. What will Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and General Manager Mick Foley have in store for the WWE Universe to keep that trend going?
Rollins Called Out The Demon King
In a prerecorded segment outside somewhere in Corpus Christi, Seth Rollins said that he wants to summon the Demon King. After yelling for Finn Bálor’s alter-ego several times, Rollins laughed and indicated that the search would continue throughout Monday Night Raw.
Rusev Attempted To Take Monday Night Raw Hostage
The WWE United States Champion came out and said that Raw would not be allowed to continue until Roman Reigns apologized to him and his wife Lana. When General Manager Mick Foley came out and tried to resolve things, Rusev demanded that Commissioner Stephanie McMahon come out instead. After Stephanie came out and didn’t give Rusev the answers he wanted, Roman Reigns came out on his own accord. While Stephanie wouldn’t allow the SummerSlam title match to happen on Raw, Foley booked a non-title match between Rusev and Reigns, giving the U.S. champ the opportunity to defend his wife’s honor. As the show progressed, the two would be shown fighting backstage, unable to wait for their in-ring encounter later in the show.
Sami Zayn Defeated Sheamus
In a pre-match in-ring interview, Sheamus downplayed his feud with Cesaro and dismissed comments made on Twitter by Sami Zayn. While Cesaro provided guest commentary, they brought up the fact that Daniel Bryan told the Swiss Superman on Raw last week that there was a spot available for him on SmackDown Live if he felt underutilized on Monday nights. As Sheamus was setting up for the Brogue Kick, Cesaro left the announcer’s table and provided a distraction for the Celtic Warrior, allowing Zayn the opportunity to connect with the Helluva Kick and get the win. Later in the show, as Cesaro and Sheamus were fighting backstage, Foley interrupted them to say that they would begin a best-of-seven series, beginning at SummerSlam on Sunday.
Tom Phillips Interviews JeriKO
Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho claimed to already have more chemistry than Enzo Amore and Big Cass. Owens said he would defeat Cassady in singles competition tonight, just as he and Jericho will win their match at SummerSlam.
The New Day Defeat The Dudley Boyz
Before the WWE Tag Team Champions began their match with the most decorated tag team in professional wrestling history, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson aired another innuendo-laden clip of themselves in medical outfits, making jokes about Big E’s kayfabe injury. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods made relatively short work of Devon and Bubba Ray, but were greeted by the second part of the video footage from The Club as soon as the match ended. They responded with an in-ring promo of their own, as they prepare for their title match at WWE SummerSlam 2016.
Neville Warns Seth Rollins About The Demon King
As Seth Rollins walked around backstage asking if anyone had seen the Demon King, he ran into former NXT Champion Neville. Having battled against Finn Bálor while in NXT, Neville told Rollins that The Architect didn’t know what he was in for at SummerSlam. The advice only made Rollins angry.
Nia Jax Defeated Rachel Levey
Nia Jax is essentially playing the same role in the women’s division on Monday Night Raw that Braun Strowman is playing for the men. Each week, Jax is faced with local enhancement talent that she absolutely annihilates. Such was the case this week, as she made short work of the heavily-tattooed, blue-haired opponent, who said in a pre-match interview that she was inspired by Team USA and the Rio Olympics. Strowman wasn’t in action this week, although they did show a brief video montage of his recent destructive streak.
Brock Lesnar ‘Doesn’t Give A Sh*t’ About Heath Slater’s Kids
As Lesnar entered the ring, he was smiling at the live audience more than usual, as Corpus Christi was excited to see The Beast Incarnate. But before Paul Heyman could get a single word out of his mouth, he was interrupted by Heath Slater. After Heyman tried to dismiss the One Man Band, Slater got in the ring, demanding a chance to face Brock one-on-one. After Lesnar invited Slater into the ring to talk about the family he said he was responsible for, Lesnar told him that he “doesn’t give a sh*t” about Slater’s children. He gave Heath one last chance to walk away, but Slater didn’t take it. Instead, he took a very quick beating from The Anomaly before Heyman gave the kind of promo that has made him a living legend.
Kevin Owens Gets Disqualified Against Big Cass
After Enzo Amore demonstrated his mic skills, he and Chris Jericho remained at ringside for Kevin Owens vs. Big Cass. It wasn’t long before Jericho took out Enzo and Colin turned his attention to Y2J. Eventually, Jericho attacked Cassady, giving him and Owens the opportunity to double-team their SummerSlam opponent. While Big Cass got the win by disqualification, it was the Canadian alliance that stood tall at the end of the segment.
The Shining Stars Defeated The Prime Time Players
After Titus O’Neil and Darren Young apologized to each other on the Raw Pre-Show, they agreed to reunite the Prime Time Players for one more night on Raw to help bury the hatchet. When Young accidentally knocked O’Neil off the ring apron, he responded by hitting the Clash of the Titus on Darren. O’Neil left the ring as Bob Backlund berated him and The Shining Stars picked up the victory.
Neville Defeated Jinder Mahal
Last week, Neville teamed up with Sin Cara to represent the New Era while defeating The Dudley Boyz. This week, he got a solid victory over Jinder Mahal, Monday Night Raw‘s most recent signing. While he isn’t booked in a match during SummerSlam weekend, is Neville set for a push with the red brand?
Seth Rollins Meets The Demon King
Rollins interrupted a meeting between Stephanie McMahon and GM Mick Foley to complain about being unable to find The Demon King anywhere in Corpus Christi. When Foley suggested that Rollins go to the ring to call out Finn Bálor’s alter-ego, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion reluctantly took Mick’s advice. After a member of the live audience tried to interrupt The Architect’s in-ring promo, Finn’s Demon King persona made his Monday Night Raw debut. The in-ring encounter between Rollins and Bálor ended with Seth leaving for the back and Finn standing tall in the ring.

The Club Defeated The Golden Truth
No longer given airtime to indirectly promote Pokémon GO, R-Truth and Goldust were tasked with facing Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson as the NJPW imports prepare to face The New Day for the WWE Tag Team Championship at WWE SummerSlam 2016. Cody’s brother fell victim to The Magic Killer as Gallows and Anderson essentially walked all over their opponents. Post-match, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods made their way to the ring, and nearly gave Anderson an injury to match Big E’s. The Club escaped mostly unharmed, ready to face Woods and Kingston on Sunday.
Charlotte Defeated Alicia Fox
Before the match began, Charlotte was shown backstage, telling Dana Brooke what a disappointment she was after losing to Sasha Banks. The WWE Women’s Champion provided guest commentary for a match that was over quickly, without much fanfare. Charlotte invited Banks to join her in the ring, and just as The Boss was about to get her hands on Charlotte, Dana Brooke rushed into the ring from the audience and attacked Sasha, revealing that her previous conversation with Charlotte was a complete farce. Miss Flair locked Banks in the Figure Four Leg Lock while Dana held back the referees.
Roman Reigns Defeated Rusev
In the final segment of Monday Night Raw before WWE SummerSlam 2016, Roman Reigns got a clean victory over his opponent for Sunday night. While this may be good for any Reigns fans live in Corpus Christi, it’s rare that a wrestler gets a clean victory over an opponent on free TV just days before doing it again on a PPV or Network Special like SummerSlam. Just as Roman put over Dean Ambrose at Battleground and Finn Bálor a few weeks ago on Raw, there’s a good chance he’ll do the same thing against Rusev in the U.S. title match on Sunday.
