The Undertaker Return's Date Revealed And Huge Surprise Opponent For The Dead man

When The Undertaker didn’t end up as one of the surprise entrants in the Royal Rumble this past week, everyone thought he would be on Monday Night Raw. Well, that didn’t happen. The “Road to WrestleMania” is a full-go and the Deadman is nowhere to be seen. It does appear though as if his WWE television return is now known, and his rumored WrestleMania 32 opponent possibilities are interesting choices – Big Show or Kevin Owens.
It’s well known that The Undertaker is going to be in one of the top matches at WWE’s biggest event of the year. He always is, and for very good and obvious reasons. That’s why it was kind of strange to not see him on WWE television this past week.
Everyone expected him to show up or taunt someone and start a new feud that would slowly build over the last two months. The IB Times states that since he didn’t show up this past week, The Undertaker is on course to appear at the Raw after Fastlane in late February.
This would give WWE a little over a month and six episodes of Monday Night Raw to build up that feud between Undertaker and his WrestleMania opponent. The main question now is who will that be? It appears as if there are two options being thrown around.
One name being thrown around for Undertaker’s opponent at the big PPV is Kevin Owens. With his feud with Dean Ambrose over, Owens needs a match for WrestleMania and he’s one of the best heels on the roster right now.
He can talk on the mic, go in the ring, and is seen as a credible threat to defeat anyone on the roster…even The Undertaker. Even if he were to lose, having a great match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania would instantly elevate him to main event status.
Now, Owens has been seemingly pushing for a match/feud with Brock Lesnar, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to be happening right now. At this point, WWE is leading toward a WrestleMania match between Brock Lesnar and either Bray Wyatt or Braun Strowman.
Fans would love to see Owens vs. Undertaker, and it would be a big draw. There is another possibility being thrown around for The Undertaker’s opponent at WrestleMania 32 as well, and it’s one that won’t be met with as much attraction.
Cageside Seats is reporting that Strowman could get some work at Fastlane against Big Show to have the big man in The Wyatt Family get some higher credibility. After likely taking out Big Show and showing he can beat a giant, WWE could have him move on to The Undertaker.
As recapped by WWE and seen on SmackDown this past week, Big Show joined in with some of the big-time babyfaces to take out The Wyatt Family in the main event. This is pretty much the first step in beginning the feud for Fastlane in February.
Bray Wyatt could have Strowman go after Big Show and set up a match between the two big men at the next Pay-Per-View. Strowman could then go on to defeat Big Show and establish himself as a giant-killer, at least in the eyes of WWE.
This could then set up a match between him and The Undertaker at WrestleMania. You have to remember that the Brothers of Destruction did defeat The Wyatt Family at Survivor Series, but it was Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper. The Wyatts weren’t represented by Strowman.
Fans will not be thrilled with a match between The Undertaker and Braun Strowman. It’s not that the Wyatt giant can’t be better in the future, but he’s far too inexperienced in the ring right now. Bray Wyatt could be his mouthpiece to go promo-to-promo with Taker, but the match is what’s concerning.
Having a green talent like Strowman go up against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 in the Deadman’s home state? The crowd will eat the match alive because it just won’t work.
The Undertaker was scheduled to take on John Cena at the big event, but then Cena went out with a long-term injury. WWE originally had no back-up plan in place at all for Undertaker’s match at WrestleMania 32, and that’s why things are so confusing right now.
In less than a month, The Undertaker will be back on WWE television and make his big return to set up a feud for WrestleMania 32. The big wonder is who his opponent will end up being and if it’s Kevin Owens or Braun Strowman, then fans are either going to be extremely excited or overly disappoitned respectively.
