Roman Reigns New Plan For The Royal Rumble !!!

When it comes to WrestleMania 32, WWE had huge plans for the event. They wanted to sell out the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This is near Dallas, which is why the Dallas Cowboys play there. The stadium is of course owned by Jerry Jones, a celebrity owner who has a lot of similarities to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. They met with everyone about the event occurring a while back, then again just recently. Jones obviously wants people to come in and buy things in the arena, and Vince, of course, wants to break records.
Both sides will get a lot out of this. However, injuries have been a massive problem for WWE in both 2015 and 2016. While Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, and more have been hurt in 2015 — John Cena, Paige, and Sasha Banks have all been reported injuries for 2016. Cena clearly is the biggest one, and would be in 2015, as well. All of this has hurt WrestleMania plans because clearly, WWE wanted to use every single one of these people at WrestleMania if they could been there. Paige and Sasha seem to be okay enough to return in a few weeks to a month, so they will be okay. Cesaro may also be ready by WrestleMania time.
However the stars of Orton, Cena, and Rollins will not be available for the event. John Cena just had surgery, so his return time is May at the very earliest. His time that would be making the most sense is around June to July, however.
So, what has this done to the main event of WrestleMania? Has it allowed WWE to use new stars in the position to help create one to two more careers? Of course it has, but that is not where WWE is headed. According to the Wrestling Observer, Triple H vs Roman Reigns is the planned WrestleMania 32 main event. WWE has been planning to have Reigns and Triple H clash, but this would have made more sense for the Royal Rumble. Sadly, the plan was to have Cena win the match and go on to face Reigns at WrestleMania.
One of the matches on the card for the Rumble would have been Triple H vs Roman Reigns. Now, this has been bumped to the main event. Now it is pushing for WWE to have Reigns win the Rumble match yet again. While Triple H could very well win the match and force a match with Reigns at WrestleMania to get his WWE World Title back, it is far more likely that they allow Reigns to retain at the Rumble, which would force Triple H to come back and go one on one with him.
While WWE wants you to forget the past, the WWE World Title has been on the line before in a Rumble match. In 1992, the Royal Rumble match was going to crown a new WWF World Champion. The winner ended up being Ric Flair, who was not in the promotion long before returning to WCW. This is the first time in history that the title will be defended in the Rumble match, though. So, WWE is making history here regardless.
WWE trips over this a bit during their promos on the show. It is understandable not to remember an over 20-year-old angle as a creative team writer, but fans remember. Be sure to do the research, creative.
Due to the mass injuries, this might be the best angle they could do for both casual and hardcore fans alike. While the casuals seem to love Reigns and hardcore fans are warming up to him but are not very attached, Triple H is someone that the casuals will see as a viable heel opponent for Roman. Hardcore fans will see this as Triple H just wanting the spotlight for himself again. He would lose in order to help make a star, but I digress.
While WWE could have a lot of other guys take the role for Triple H, who else on the roster brings in fans of both sides that has viable main event experience? Name someone. While Dean Ambrose would be great, it wouldn’t work due to the fact that he and Roman Reigns would have to split as friends, and he does not have blockbuster main event experience yet. WWE has to sell to a lot of people, which is something Reigns/HHH can do. Whether we want to admit it as fans or not, it is the best option WWE has right now all around.
