Title Match For Brock Lesnar For His Return !!!!!!
In WWE news, Brock Lesnar will be immediately challenging for a championship belt upon making his return to the promotion, according to Wrestling Inc.
Brock Lesnar is scheduled to make his return to WWE on December 19. It is not a pay-per-view. It isn’t even an episode ofMonday Night Raw or Smackdown, either. The return is actually taking place on a Saturday night at a live event. It isn’t a standard live event, however, as it is taking place at the Forum in Los Angeles. World Wrestling Entertainment wanted a good showing there so they enlisted the aid of Lesnar, their biggest draw.
Alberto Del Rio has been chosen as the opponent of the special evening for Brock Lesnar. The choice is a little more up to par as WWE chose Kofi Kingston as the opponent when Lesnar agreed to work a special live event in Japan earlier in the year. Del Rio is at least a former world heavyweight champion and has worked the main event scene. Alberto will be defending the WWE United States Heavyweight Championship against Brock that night, which has raised a few eyebrows since that was something unexpected.
A big reason why people are surprised that Alberto Del Rio is defending the WWE United States Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar is because the belt is viewed as being beneath the former UFC Heavyweight Champion now. He has reached a level where only certain opponents and situations will work. If Lesnar is not involved in a match for the WWE Heavyweight Championship, then he has to be involved in a match against a big name performer like Undertaker. Steve Austin, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Batista and Goldberg are examples of big names that are qualified enough to work with Brock on pay-per-view nowadays.
Even though it may not be televised, lots of eyes will be on the match between Alberto Del Rio and Brock Lesnar. WWE has essentially handicapped the creative department by putting the United States Heavyweight Championship on the line. Obviously, Lesnar is not going to be winning the belt, and he definitely will not be taking the clean loss to Del Rio. That means that a dirty finish will be the most likely option. More than likely, Alberto will work the match for a couple of minutes against Brock before walking out to the ring as the audience showers him with jeers.
The more important question on the table is, “What will Brock Lesnar be doing once he returns to television for WWE?” One thing that is for sure is that we are going to be seeing the South Dakota native a bit more frequently since the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania are right around the corner. That is the crazy time period that Vince McMahon focuses on the most each year. The CEO wants big numbers that WWE can flaunt to advertisers, fans, and shareholders so he has no qualms about spending additional money to use Lesnar.
A match between Sheamus and Roman Reigns does not feel like a worthy main event for Wrestlemania, even if the WWE Heavyweight Championship is involved. There is a very good chance that management could pull the trigger on a change and insert Brock Lesnar into the mix. The former NCAA champion can win the Royal Rumble, a decision which very few fans would be opposed to. A three-way match featuring Sheamus, Reigns, and Lesnar isn’t the most appealing match in the world but it would be an upgrade over a straight up match between Sheamus and Roman. Brock might be needed to save the day.
Do you think Brock Lesnar is going to end up in the main event of Wrestlemania again?
