Vince McMahon Not Happy With Two Main Event Talents

WWE has become a different product over the past years as it has gone to a PG-rating and become aimed more at families. It is no longer the WWE Attitude Era, and Vince McMahon wants to keep it that way. That being said, he wasn’t too happy with the match that two main event stars put on at Money In The Bank, and they happen to be named Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.
The two former teammates in The Shield were in a main event ladder match, and actually put on a really good show. Many have praised the bout as being one of the better matches in quite some time, and believe it to be one of the top so far this year.
Both fans, wrestlers, and executives enjoyed the match, but Mr. McMahon himself had a problem with certain parts of it. The parts that didn’t please him were those that took away from the safety of the superstars.
According to Christian TodayMcMahon was not happy with the style of the match that Ambrose and Rollins put on. McMahon specifically wasn’t thrilled with three powerbombs delivered by Rollins to Ambrose and they were all on different surfaces.
Vince McMahon was also upset with a number of spots that had to do with ladders even though some of those were called by WWE COO Triple H. The moves may have been practiced and deemed safe, but McMahon still was not happy with them being included in the match.
Over the past decade, McMahon and WWE have put a huge focus on wrestler safety and made sure that they don’t go overboard while staying safe. This will not only keep them from suffering serious injury, but also keep those at home from trying dangerous moves.
Unfortunately, some wrestlers like to take things a step too far and two of those happen to be Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.
There are others who have taken things a bit too far in matches at times, and two of them are Randy Orton and John Cena. Oddly enough, Brock Lesnar has not been cited for disregarding safety and always keeps that of his own and his opponents in mind.
With WWE Battleground two weeks away, it’s going to be interesting to see how the main event between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins goes, after these rumors have been circulating. As of now, Dean Ambrose doesn’t have a match on the card, but you can be sure that he knows to possibly tone it down some.
