What Will Happen On Raw Tonight !!!!
Monday Night Raw swings by again, replete with a host of must-see storylines, unexpected developments and the promise of earth shattering action.
Well...this week more than most as Big Show takes on Braun Strowman in a Steel Cage match that promises to shake the very foundations of the WWE.
In another precedent-setting match, Jeff Hardy breaks free from the clutches of Tag Team wrestling to challenge for Miz's Intercontinental Title. But that's not to say brother Matt won't be close at hand, keeping a close eye so that the conniving Miztourage don't pull a fast one.
Talking about fast ones, it's impossible not to mention Nia Jax's stunning betrayal of WWE Women's Champion and former BFF, Alexa Bliss last week on Raw.
After the imposing Superstar made her intentions crystal clear by raising the Title above her head, how can we expect the Goddess to react?
And is it even humanly possible for John Cena and Roman Reigns to top the epic back and forth microphone encounter that they stitched together last week?
Well, if anyone can, it's John Cena.
Looking forward to all of these developments and more, here is our preview of this week's episode of Monday Night Raw.
A Broken brotherhood?
Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy have been tearing it up in the WWE following their return at WrestleMania 33, winning the Raw Tag Team Championships and being in and around the Title picture ever since.
However, Jeff Hardy's victory to earn the right to face The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship may spell a premature end to their association as a team.
Although it figures that Matt Hardy will have his brother's back when he takes on the Miz and the Miztourage, will Jeff's exertions towards being a singles competitor put a strain on the relationship between the brothers?
As is well known by now, it doesn't take much to break Matt Hardy, does it?
Each woman for herself
Nia Jax shocked the WWE fraternity when she dropped Alexa Bliss like a hot potato from her shoulders, indelibly stating her claim for the next WWE Raw Women's Title shot.
For months, the friendship between Nia and Alexa has seemed to suspend the inevitable feud over the title between them.
After last week, that no longer seems to be the case anymore.
Will Nia Jax continue to pound on Alexa Bliss in order to earn a Title shot? What lengths does she have to go to, to convince her former BFF that she deserves it?
For her part, how will the Raw Women's Champion react to being ambushed so by, possibly, the only woman she trusted on the roster?
A dress rehearsal
After decimating Brock Lesnar not once but twice, there is little doubt left that Braun Strowman is the most dangerous opponent that the WWE can throw at the Beast Incarnate.
But before they square off at No Mercy, the Monster Among Men has to wrap his head around overcoming another resident behemoth in Big Show.
If that wasn't a daunting enough proposition, he's to do it in a Steel Cage match on Raw.
Will this end up being the undoing of Strowman's momentum before his WWE Universal Title date with Brock Lesnar?
Or will he, as usual, bulldoze through the opposition and impose his will?
A hard-hitting encounter awaits!
A high Bar to overcome
Even after capturing the Raw Tag Team Championships, it would seem that Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins still haven't exorcised the former Champions from haunting the Title picture.
Sheamus and Cesaro are here to stay and will want to avenge their defeat to former Shield brothers, but they will be calculative about when they use their rematch clause.
If last week's matches are any indication, the teams are still neck and neck, with neither duo able to exert their dominance just yet.
Will we see that trend continue this week?
Or will one team grab the initiative in what is shaping up to be an intriguing rivalry for the Tag Team gold?
The Big Dog's Yard
In a rivalry that can - and I say this with the utmost mindfulness - compare to the Stone Cold - Rock feuds of lore, John Cena and Roman Reigns set the ball rolling for their match at No Mercy with a rollicking segment on Raw last week.
And although John Cena dished out a stinging verbal lashing, Reigns didn't acquit himself too badly on the microphone either.
However, now that it's been all but established who will get the better of the verbal exchanges, is it in the Big Dog's interest to let his fists do the talking going forward?
Despite saying that he's the fastest, strongest and hungriest that he's been, will John Cena be able to deal with the heat that Roman Reigns brings?
