Enzo Amore Has Been Attacked On The WWE RAW's backstage

WWE Raw was a very different dynamic than the SmackDown Live-exclusive WWE Payback the night before. While the social media world erupted when Jinder Mahal defeated Randy Orton to win the WWE Championship, Raw was built around the contenders involved in determining who will face Brock Lesnar at the Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view, including Finn Balor, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, Samoa Joe, and Seth Rollins. While Balor faced former Bullet Club comrade Karl Anderson, the main event pitted a tag team match between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins against Bray Wyatt and Samoa Joe. At the conclusion of Raw, Balor went to Kurt Angle unhappy that he was not in the main event match. Angle then proceeded to book a double main event for the next episode of Raw, which will be Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins, and a triple threat match between Balor, Wyatt, and Joe.
Another storyline that commenced during Raw was the age-old “Who attacked you?” angle. During the show, cameras zoomed on Big Cass backstage as he was led to where Enzo Amore was. When he got there, he saw Enzo knocked out after being attacked from behind. When the segment resumed, Enzo was explaining to the backstage personnel and Cass that he did not see who attacked him, and he had no idea of who it could be. Kurt Angle then proceeded to say that they were going to get to the bottom of it, and Big Cass followed by informing Angle that he better hope that he finds out before Cass does.
This segment is the start of a new feud for Enzo and Cass. While the team will once again be snubbed out of vying for the Raw Tag Team Championship, at least it could build credibility for them to win their first championship at a major pay-per-view. This is only if Big Cass was not the culprit. In fact, there are some who speculate that Cass may have been the person behind the attack, which would elicit a heel turn for the big man and a feud with his partner Enzo. However, Goldust and R-Truth just did that angle last week and breaking up another team would certainly not help the division. Enzo and Cass are highly popular and one of the prominent teams making the division relevant.
In a seemingly more logical choice, PWInsider is reporting that the guilty verdict behind the attack is none other than Scott Dawson, commencing a feud between Enzo & Cass and The Revival. There was also word that Dawson was indeed at Raw to start the angle. This attack would allow Enzo & Cass to still have a spot on Raw while Dash Wilder recovers from his injury suffered at a live event in April.
Following WrestleMania 33, The Revival made their debut on Raw and immediately made a name for themselves on the main roster by defeating The New Day on consecutive weeks. Unfortunately, Wilder suffered a fractured jaw and had to get his jaw wired. The timeline for recovery was slated to be eight weeks.
While Wilder will still most likely miss the Extreme Rules pay-per-view, he should be able to make it back in time to build some heat before the Raw pay-per-view, Great Balls of Fire, occurring on July 9.
The feud between Enzo & Cass and The Revival has a

very storied past from their days on NXT. At one point, while The Revival were dominating the NXT tag team divisions as champions, their biggest foes were Enzo & Cass. Unfortunately, for Enzo & Cass, they were unable to capture the tag titles from the #TopGuys, despite coming very close on numerous occasions. Perhaps, their fate may be different on the main roster as Enzo & Cass look to gain retribution from both the time in NXT, as well as this speculated attack on Raw.
