Major Push For Braun Strowman !!!!!!!

WWE appears to have bigger plans for Braun Strowman. The former Wyatt Family henchman was split off from the rest of his faction in the July 2016 brand split, and he’s since been groomed as the most dominating big man in the RAW brand. And after weeks of “squash matches” against scrawny jobbers, it looks like Strowman will finally be moving on to his first major feud as a singles star. According to a new report, the feud might serve as a catalyst for The Big Show’s return to televised in-ring competition.
While Braun Strowman has been keeping himself busy in the ring since the brand split, it’s been the exact opposite for Big Show. The 44-year-old giant has not appeared in any televised matches since then, and has mainly appeared in backstage segments. He’s also taken part in some non-storyline-related matches in international house shows; for example, he faced SmackDown mainstay John Cena in Manila and Shanghai in September. But other than that, he’s pretty much settled into a part-time role as one of WWE’s elder statesmen, and has been active in the company’s media work, according to WrestlingNews.co.
Despite his reduced in-ring schedule and occasional chants of “Please retire!” from WWE fans, Big Show still has some gas left in the tank, and he’s scheduled to face NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal at WrestleMania 33 in April 2017. As O’Neal isn’t a trained wrestler, and also of the same age as Show, that may turn out to be a novelty match between two prominent seven-footers. But in the meantime, it looks like the “World’s Largest Athlete” may be returning to the ring very soon, as WrestlingNews.co reported his next feud may be against Braun Strowman.
The Internet Wrestling Database entries for Braun Strowman and Big Show appear to back up the new report. After Show’s losses to Cena in WWE’s Asian house shows, his next house show rival was Strowman, as both giants faced off in a series of Bodyslam Challenges in WWE’s European tour earlier this month. Not surprisingly, the 33-year-old Strowman won all those matches, and if the rumors are accurate, there’s a good chance the 6’8″-385 former strongman competitor will end up victorious in the feud, with the veteran Show putting the younger man over.
What could be interesting about this feud is how it may allow Strowman to go from strength to strength and eventually face one of the longest-lasting, most talented WWE big men of all time. Braun’s singles push started with a series of quick wins over local jobbers, and he ended up complaining about this, demanding that RAW General Manager Mick Foley give him some real competition. That led to a quick and successful feud against the much smaller Sami Zayn, which resulted in his inclusion in RAW’s Survivor Series men’s team.
If Strowman ends up victorious in his rumored feud against Big Show, this just might be the next step toward a WrestleMania 33 match against The Undertaker, WrestlingNews.co’s Corey Jacobs speculated.
“I haven’t heard about plans for Strowman at WrestleMania but I wouldn’t be surprised if Vince McMahon had Strowman vs. The Undertaker on his mind. The original plan for WretleMania 32 in Dallas was supposed to be Strowman vs. Taker but things got shuffled around with a few top names were sidelined with injuries.”
With Big Show’s return expected to have him continuing on as a “jobber to the stars” at this late stage in his career and Strowman looking stronger than ever, WWE appears to have a lot of faith in the North Carolina native. But how far will he go as WWE builds him up as a rising monster heel? We don’t know yet, but things are getting quite interesting for Braun Strowman post-Wyatt Family.
