Big Match Has Been Pulled Off From Hell In A Cell !!!

Last minute alterations and the whole “card is subject to change” is something that WWE has long lived by because no one knows what could happen. Usually there is an explanation of some kind, but WWE pulled a match and four wrestlers from this Sunday’s Hell in a Cell event without much reasoning whatsoever. What happened to Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton, Luke Harper, and Braun Strowman?
The kickoff match for this weekend’s pay-per-view had been scheduled to pit the team of Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton against The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper and Braun Strowman). Last night on Monday Night Raw, two of the four didn’t even appear, and then the match was just pulled.
Dean Ambrose casually said last night that Orton was attacked by the Wyatts and injured so he couldn’t wrestle on Sunday. That is partially true.
The storyline of The Wyatt Family attacking him was for TV, but Orton is truly injured. Wrestling Inc. said that Orton has a shoulder injury, and he’s scheduled to have an MRI soon to find out if he needs surgery or not.
Orton has apparently been working with the injury for some time now, but then he got a dislocated shoulder which made it worse.
Making matters even odder on Raw was the absence of Luke Harper, and he was randomly replaced by a returning Erick Rowan. Many believe that Harper was off the show as punishment for appearing in a social media picture posted by Chris Jericho that included Roman Reigns, Harper, and Bray Wyatt backstage.
Apparently, that isn’t the case.
Still, WWE gave next to no explanation for the tag match being pulled from Hell in a Cell, even though it’s understandable with Orton’s injury. The odd part is that Ambrose hasn’t found a tag partner to face off with Harper and Strowman.
They could have played off the whole “Ambrose doesn’t like random tag partners” thing, but that was not to be. It wouldn’t have made much sense storyline wise, but neither does the replacement match.
Speaking of things that don’t make much sense, the new kickoff match that was confirmed on WWE.com. There has been some interaction in the past between the superstars in the six-man tag, but not a lot recently.
Dolph Ziggler had been mostly involved with John Cena and The New Day in recent weeks, and not as much Rusev anymore. Sheamus and King Barrett had issues of their own with one another. Neville was paired off with Stardust for months, and Cesaro has been noticeably absent.
That’s not even mentioning the fact that the exact same match took place on Monday Night Raw just last night. The heels ended up winning remotely cleanly with King Barrett pinning Ziggler to get the victory.
So now, Orton’s injury didn’t just take him out of the picture but got rid of a match and took three other superstars off the Hell in a Cell card. With Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns facing off in the cell at some point on the card, it’s likely that Ambrose and the rest of The Wyatt Family could show up anyway.
Randy Orton is out with an injury, and Luke Harper just wasn’t there for his own reasons. WWE has indeed pulled the match and all four wrestlers from Hell in a Cell without much reason. It will be interesting to see if Harper, Dean Ambrose, and Braun Strowman show up at all.
