Update On Dolph Ziggler's WWE Status

With the recent rumors of WWE superstar Dolph Ziggler’s contractual status with WWE, another potential rumor regarding the “Show Off” and his future has surfaced. Former creative writer for TNA Jason Cook claims on Facebook that Ziggler is set to join TNA when his contract expires shortly (via TNAWrestlingNews).
It may come as a shock to many that Ziggler would leave WWE, a company that has employed Ziggler for over a decade. But according to Cook, the jump is something that Ziggler has been working on for a long time rather than a hasty decision.
“I know for a fact that Dolph is TNA bound. It’s been in motion for months already.”
A part of that “in motion for months already” comment is that Ziggler has been open about his alleged liking for IMPACT wrestling. Not only is Ziggler a fan of the product, but his fandom has apparently landed him in hot water with company officials, and that is part of the reason as to why Ziggler has not been involved in any major storylines recently.
“I’m telling you Ziggler has been praising the Tna shows for over a year. Even said impact was more entertaining than raw. Yes he said that and it got back to WWE and he’s been in limbo ever since. He’s made it clear with people in TNA that he wants in once his deal is up. Just watch.”
The Inquisitr recently reported that Ziggler may leave WWE once his contract expires if he is not given a significant push and featured more prominently. In addition, months ago, Ziggler himself teased leaving WWE in a lengthy tweet.
Therefore, it’s not too outrageous of an idea for Ziggler to consider leaving.
There are several reasons as to why a jump from WWE to TNA may be a foolish move on Ziggler’s part, but there are also benefits. For one thing, he would automatically become one of the company’s most popular wrestlers. With WWE’s sizable audience and appeal, many fans of Ziggler would likely follow him to TNA.
Also, he is working on several outside projects, most notably his stand-up comic career. With TNA not being on the road as much as the WWE, it would give Ziggler the time to focus on other ventures. But the fans should not jump the gun and assume his future just yet.
A lot of things can happen between now and the day that Ziggler’s contract expires. So it would not be wise to speculate on his future. But one thing is for sure, the rumors of Ziggler being on his way out are becoming more frequent.
